Artifact model

Understand Potion's fifteen artifact types, immutable releases, visibility, previews, and trust signals.

Potion supports fifteen closed artifact types: skills, prompts, workflows, MCP servers, personas, rule packs, templates, bundles, tool definitions, schemas, evaluations, knowledge packs, integrations, datasets, and example packs.

Identity and versions

An artifact belongs to a namespace and has a stable slug. Published releases use semantic versions and immutable archives. Corrections require a new version; a compromised version can be yanked without rewriting history.

Public and premium boundaries

Public metadata is always safe to index. Premium artifacts expose only a separately authored preview. Source configuration, private object keys, and entitlement details never belong in anonymous responses.
